Office 365 required DNS settings

Migrating to Office 365 requires some DNS modifications to your domain zone files. These are detailed under Domains/DNS Settings on the Admin portal for each registered domain and serve to point your Lync and Mail clients to the appropriate server and service.

This is what these records would look like for domain using BIND9 on Ubuntu ..

; Microsoft Exchange Online
@       IN      MX      0
autodiscover    IN      CNAME
@       IN      TXT     "v=spf1 -all"
; Microsoft Lync Online
;        IN      SRV 100 1 443   IN      SRV 100 1 5061
